Serve at: 8°C Description: Chardonnay has been grown on the slopes of the Leithagebirge for almost 900 years. The Cistercian monks brought Chardonnay vines from Burgundy around 1150. In the protected southeasterly site of Ried Tatschler, first mentioned in 1570, it ripens to premium quality on calcareous slate soils. Selected, fully ripe grapes are gently pressed and fermented and aged in small oak barrels. Chardonnay Tatschler is a refined, versatile companion.
The Kollwentz Tatschler Chardonnay: Intense greenish yellow; spicy, intense nose of yellow fruits, brioche, vanilla; very well-balanced and finely structured; long on the palate.
