This noble Mimosa Chardonnay Josef Reserve MCMXLIV (1944) was produced for the first time in a limited edition in honor of Bernhard Hess’s father, Josef (Sepp) Hess, on his 70th birthday.
A light straw yellow with honey yellow reflections sparkles in the glass.
The nose is surrounded by sublime aromas of honeydew melon and lychee with a delicate hint of vanilla.
The palate is rich in green apple and pineapple with elegant roasted almonds.
A warm mid-palate, rich in mineral characters with perfectly balanced acidity, leads to a long finish of stone fruit, melon and light almond nut.
A complex wine with a long finish and aging potential.
