"The rising star" is how Marco Porello is known in English- speaking countries. His convincing wines have made a big name for themselves there in a short time and here too he convinces with his independent wines. He has been running the family winery in Canale since 1994 and has invested a lot of strength and energy in the old vineyards and the latest cellar technology right from the start. Most of the vineyards were planted in the 19th century. For him, the work in the vineyard is the most important thing. He spends more than 2000 hours there a year and often forgets the time in his passion. He knows and studies every parcel, every soil formation and every microclimate in detail. He grows his Roero Arneis on just 4 hectares.
