Chateau du Glana is located on the
Route des Grands Vins, parallel to
the Gironde estuary, between
Beychevelle and Saint-Julien.
Chateau du Glana is built in 1870
by Mr. Nadeau. Today, a small
vineyard (5 hectares) is
consolidated due to the purchase of
several plots of land from the
neighboring Chateau Saint-Pierre.
After several other managers,
Gabriel Meffre bought the Chateau
in 1961. He increased the vineyard
to 43 hectares in the years to
come. His son Jean-Paul now has
the management over the estate.
He is motivated by a great
ambition: to achieve the full
potential of the estate. Chateau du
Glana produces modern, elegant
wines that accurately reflect the
terroir.
