This KNIPSER Private Selection Red Wine Blend is a Barrelselection from typical German grape varietys originated in the cellar of the family vineyard KNIPSER, within the scope of the Club Collection for the exclusive Wine Club of Torsten Forcke (WSET Diploma holder). Together with Werner and Volker Knipser we have tried several assamblages in spring, 2008. The result represents German red's in high quality according to point and harmony. St. Laurent (an autochtone grape from the Pfalz) and Lemberger (classic from Württemberg) were both over 30 months in French oak, the Dornfelder (German new variety) approx. 42 months. Bottled without fining and unfiltered, limited on 1.000 bottles, numbered, hand-labelled and with high-quality natural cork with corkbrand.

Dry, fruity-spicy with fine-polished Tannin, stamping acidity and balanced structure. Red cherries, black Current, discreet vanilla and tobacco, rich in body and tightly. The KNIPSER Private Selection is an ideal and all-round food companion.
Today these varieties were replaced at Knipsers vinyards.
