Color: red Character: dry Content: 0.75 liters Variety: Grenache Winery: Langmeil Winery Vintage: 2017 Region: Barossa Valley, Australia Alcohol: 15% vol. Serve at: 18°C Description: Fifth waves is the most cherished Grenache of old vines and is an ode to the fifth generation of the Lindner Family. Planted halfway the previous century, Fifth Wave was a ‘call to arms’ to protect the best of Barossa, to keep it and to celebrate it. All Old Vine Gardens of Langmeil are treated like national treasures and maintained by hand, from pruning to harvest. This wine is made of 100% Grenache grapes and the wine matured about 17 months in oak. This Fifth Wave has a medium ruby red color with pink touches. In the nose aromas of dark cherries and raspberry come forward, accompanied by sweet herbs and a touch of roasted bread and white pepper. In the mouth ripe red berries with sweet spices. The finish is long with flavors of pepper and spices and typical chalky youthful firm tannin.
