Founded in 1988, Patz & Hall has become one of California’s most highly regarded wineries with a celebrated portfolio of single- vineyard wines. Though Patz & Hall was not the first California winery to make vineyard-designate Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it was one of the first to introduce these wines to a wider audience outside of wine clubs and tasting rooms. To achieve their goal of making exceptional limited-production Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, the founders held a commitment to developing close personal relationships with many of California’s finest growers, which have become the cornerstones of the winery’s success. In Patz & Hall’s state-of-the-art, purpose-built winery in Sonoma, both traditional and cutting-edge techniques are applied, including a unique, custom barrel program.
