The idea was born from Ernie Els and based on the vision to produce a wine that would capture everything that Ernie stands for: Big in stature and gentle in character. In 1999, Ernie established Ernie Els Vineyards and in December 2004, opened his dream cellar on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch. Since its launch Ernie Els Wines has established a magnificent portfolio of South African wines offering quality wines for everyone at various different price-points. In the summer of 2011 two new white wines were added to the portfolio. Ernie's passion for these wines, combined with winemaker Louis Strydom's considerable talents, has proved a winning combination.
