Bodegas Borsao Wine
Founded in 1958 in the town of
Borja, called Bursao in the 4th
century B.C., this winery
represents what can be done with
Garnacha, a grape that is not well
appreciated by the Spanish press.
Through meticulous selection work
in the fields and at reception time
in the winery, modern winemaking
produce these highly fruity wines.
They are best examples of the
region known as "The Garnacha
land of Spain”, the lower part of
the Ebro River. The winery is in
the province of Zaragoza, between
the Ebro River and the Moncayo
mountain range. They own 3,600
acres of vineyards, at an average
altitude of 1,350 ft. above sea
level. The climate is continental,
with very dry and hot summers,
and very cold winters. There are
frequent late frosts and storms.
The fog from the Ebro River brings
additional humidity. |
